What Are The Characteristics Of Knitted Warp Knitted Fabrics?

Warp-knitted fabrics are often made of polyester, nylon, polypropylene, and other synthetic filaments as raw materials, and are also woven from cotton, wool, silk, hemp, and chemical fibers, and their blended yarns. Ordinary warp knitted fabrics are often woven with chain weave, warp flat weave, warp satin weave, warp oblique weave, etc. There are many kinds of fancy warp knitted fabrics, the common ones are mesh fabrics, terry fabrics, pleated fabrics, plush fabrics, weft-inserted fabrics, etc. The warp knitted fabric has the advantages of good longitudinal dimensional stability, stiff fabric, small detachment, no curling, and good air permeability.

The name warp knitting comes from weaving, and the knitted fabric woven by warp knitting is called warp knitted fabric. The difference between warp knitting and weft knitting is that the loops formed by it are arranged in the vertical direction or the warp direction, and are formed by splicing adjacent yarns to each other. The machine used for warp knitting looks somewhat like a loom, all the yarns are wound on the warp beams, the beams are located behind and above the knitting area, and all the yarns are fed into the knitting area at the same time. During the splicing process, each yarn is controlled by an individual needle. However, the yarn guide bars control the position of the yarn and the needles used may change each time the loop is formed. Needle control can be implemented using a jacquard mechanism to produce warp knitted fabrics with complex patterns. In view of the characteristics of the warp knitting process, the position of the yarn supplying device, and the mutual splicing of parallel yarns, it is sometimes called a warp knitting machine.

Fundamentally, warp knitting is a processing system for the production of open-width fabrics. The fabric has straight sides, high production speed, and high output. Warp knitted fabrics can be classified according to the equipment used and the characteristics of the fabric, the main types are Tricot, Raschel, Milanese, and Simplex, the most common being Tricot and Raschel.
